Kids are hilarious, and what makes them even funnier is that because they honestly don’t know it.
While most kids live by just playing, this little boy is a little different.
Let me introduce you to Darragh O’Neill.
At just 4 years old, he’s probably the busiest little boy you’ll ever meet. He’s always on the move, just like grown-ups, hardly ever stopping to play.
You know, when we were kids, we often thought being a grown-up meant having all the fun and freedom. But boy, were we wrong!
Being an adult comes with tons of responsibilities. There’s always something to do, whether it’s chores, appointments, bills to pay, or money to earn.
However, being a kid isn’t all play and no work. Some kids, like Darragh, know a thing or two about responsibilities.
Darragh lives with his family on a farm in Northern Ireland. One day, his mom, Caroline, decided to film him as he listed all the things he had to do that day.
And let me tell you, his to-do list was longer than a giraffe’s neck! He had tasks like building a house, digging a drain for a neighbor, and even cleaning windows at a big store called Marks & Spencer.
Can you imagine a little boy doing all that?
But wait, there’s more! Darragh also had plans to go to Dublin to check out a digger, all on a budget of just £20. Talk about ambition!
Despite having so much on his plate, Darragh’s work ethic is truly impressive. He’s determined to get everything done, rain or shine. In fact, he even mentioned how the weather was perfect for working with concrete.
Darragh’s enthusiasm and energy are infectious. He’s a little dynamo, always ready to tackle whatever tasks come his way. And who knows, maybe one day he’ll be running his own farm, just like the grown-ups.
But wait, there’s more!
The “busy man” continued by saying…
“I’m going to need to get the keys of my car because I don’t have then yet, I only ‘buyed’ my car there yesterday. I only got my license yesterday. The police won’t be out today. I’ll park her up at Tessie’s. I’ll bring my bike up. I tell you’se what else I’m doing. I’m putting up barbed wire.
I’m ‘strimming’ hedges, I’m painting fences, cutting my sheep. I’m going up to Dublin to look at a digger and see if I can buy it. £20 or so will do him. I have to ‘strim’ granda’s lane. I have to cut down a big tree.”
“I’m going up to John Paul’s. I might dig out his wee drains. Then I’m going up to Brian G’s. I’m a busy man,” he continued.
Darragh’s mom couldn’t help but laugh after hearing him say that. Darragh noticed and asked why she was laughing.
Their talk turned funny. It started with work but ended up being about food.
“Are we having pizza or steak tonight? Oh, I almost forgot! I need to mow the garden and level some stones in the yard. I usually go to bed at half eight. Maybe I’ll take a shower tonight. I better go get some cement for the stones.”
Wow, Darragh sure has a lot to do! Can you imagine doing all that work in one day? He even has chores at night!
When they talked about food again, Darragh really wanted steak over pizza.
“I want steak with chips and garlic cubes. And what’s that sauce you dip things into? Peppered sauce, yeah.”
He also wants a job downtown.
“I’m putting new windows in Marks & Spencer’s. I’ll clean the windows too. I might go there this morning. I don’t need money. I already have lots.”
Caroline talked to the Belfast Telegraph about her boys, Darragh and Pearse, and their farm routine.
“He’s only four, so he learns from his dad and granddad. We don’t use iPads or computers. The boys are always outside, learning about farming. I think he just wants to be like the adults.”
Darragh’s cute stories have been a hit online. He has a lot on his mind and shares it all with a charming Irish accent.
